Maize
in Khagdiya - Begusarai rose by Rs 15 / 20 to Rs 1250 / 1260 due to strong
buying from stockists. It sold at Rs 1220 / 1225 at the rack point in Gulab
mandi. This season maize production in the country increased by 4 lakh tone to
44 lakh tonne but the stock is not sufficient in the markets because maize is
not coming from UP, MP, Maharastra and Rajasthan. So it is likely to rise
further.
