According to trade sources, about 400 containers of Urad have landed at Chennai ports. Consequently, demand from local and upcountry dal mills have reduced which urad experienced a loss of Rs 200 which pegged SQ at Rs 12900 and FAQ at Rs 12300. On the other hand selling of dal chhilka and dhoya has already been declined. Consumers are far away from the market seeing the higher prices. Seeing this, urad is likely to fall further by Rs 300 in the next 1-2 days.
