Arrivals of wheat have been sluggish on the purchase centres of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, and MP. Consequently, here the speed of wheat procurement has been lower than the previous week. Till now the wheat procurement by the government has crossed about 221.64 lakh tonne. While the procurement target is estimated about 305 lakh tonne. Arrivals of wheat have been declining since the last three days. Seeing this, it is difficult to reach at the procurement target. In Delhi, its prices rose by Rs 10 / 20 due to thin arrivals. The market is likely to rise further in the coming days.
